Victoria Beckham Says ‘Give Me My Husband Back’ as David Goes into Farmer Mode with Chickens and Vegetables

David Beckham is in his farmer phase!

On Saturday, Sept. 7, the 49-year-old soccer icon took to Instagram to thoroughly share his developing outdoor garden and farming area, including an appearance from his chickens.

The tour, which he shared in the form of a lengthy video that he playfully refused to cut at the request of his wife Victoria Beckham, elicited a hilarious response from the fashion designer, 50, when she reposted it on her Instagram Stories.

“Who is this man,” she wrote, accompanied by a slew of chicken stickers and a laughing Memoji. “Give me my husband back!”

While her husband is present, he appears to be fully committed to his green-fingered hobby and love of chickens, months after she gave him them as a Christmas present.

David began his detailed video by wishing his followers a “good morning” and offering a quick look at his five chickens while wearing a green plaid shirt and a newsboy cap. He next turned his attention to the garden of the couple’s Cotswolds property, which had spring onions, wildflowers, plum trees, kale, and cabbage.

“So, not bad,” David stated in the video, proudly walking around his vegetable patch and garden. “And then, we have a lot of potatoes. Today, I actually am going to make some crisps because I’m a savory person, not sweet.”

David then turned his focus to the “berry area” of his garden, telling his followers that they had just received a “morning update” on his latest agricultural venture.

“My Kale is doing well 😆 I can hear my east end mates going ‘He has changed’ 😆,” David captioned the footage. “My wife said shorten the video down but obviously didn’t listen so I’m sorry… My content used to be motorbikes & camping now it’s Kale, Honey & flowers for the house 🤔”

While uploading a motorcycle emoji, David acknowledged he “might have to get back on the road soon” and ended his statement with a message to Victoria: “You’re welcome for the flowers for the house 🌺.”

Victoria may have made some jokes on social media this weekend, but she’s generally supportive of David’s gardening hobby.

Victoria posted a video on Instagram Stories in June of her husband planting pink flowers at one of their properties, and she hysterically zoomed in on his buttocks while he dug around with a shovel.

“OK, so it’s just a regular Saturday in the country. David is doing a bit of gardening,” Victoria said at the time, before telling him, “You look good!”

Aside from having fun in the garden, David praised Victoria last month at a Bowers & Wilkins event in New York City on August 27, raving about her style and thanking her for motivating him to try new looks.

“She always gave me that confidence and, and she still does now, even after 27 years,” David said of his wife, who he celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary with on July 4. “She still gives me that confidence that you know, wanting to look good and wanting to feel good.”

“She has a huge influence in my style,” he later added. “When I put something on, I know from her reaction whether I need to take it off or whether I need to keep it on.”
